Polygon in Africa

How many of the tracked developers in each country contribute to Polygon, and how that changes. A developer counts for Polygon when they contribute to any project in it, as the source files them. Every count is an observed minimum.

Polygon across the tracked countries, Q3 2026

Shares are of each country's own tracked active developers. Changes compare the same ecosystem in the same country.

Country	Share of active developers	Developers	Share of the markets' contributors	Developers, change on previous quarter	Developers, change on a year earlier	Share, change on previous quarter	Active again from last quarter
Tracked African markets	4.3%	≥ 51	—	-3.8%

Contribution intensity and tenure, Q3 2026

Developers in the ecosystem by contribution days in the quarter, and by time since their first contribution. Contribution days measure activity, not employment.

Country	Occasional, under 10 days	Sustained, 10 to 49 days	Heavy, 50 days or more	Under 1 year	1 to 2 years	2 years or more
Tracked African markets	≥ 27	≥ 18	≥ 6	≥ 25	≥ 14	≥ 12

Share of active developers contributing to Polygon

Each quarter, in each market and in the tracked markets together. Shares of different denominators: compare a country with itself over time before comparing countries.
